Marching Foxes Finish Perfect Season With A Championship Win!


The Fox Chapel Area High School Marching Band recently topped off its perfect season by capturing the Class A category title at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association (PIMBA) Championships. The band won first place in the Class A category at the competition which was held
October 25, 2008, at Gateway High School in Monroeville. The Marching Foxes, performing its 2008 program, "Outside the Box," attained its highest score of the season and also swept the awards for High Music, High
Visual, and High General Effect for the third straight time. A total of 24 bands competed at this year's PIMBA Championships and this is the fifth first place win in a row for the Marching Foxes at a PIMBA competition. The PIMBA Championships complete the band's competition season.

The Fox Chapel Area High School Marching Band is under the direction of high school music teacher Daryl Lesnik, assisted by Michael Rethage. The drum major is senior Patrick Ross and the assistant drum major is senior Emily Danchik. The guard captains are seniors Emily Glacken and Leah Hostler. Marching Foxes Capture Second Straight First Place, Sweep Honors at East Allegheny

NORTH VERSAILLES, PA: The Fox Chapel Area Marching Band swept to victory once again, capturing first place in the Class A category at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association (PIMBA) competition held at East Allegheny High School in North Versailles. The Marching Foxes, performing their 2008 show, “Outside the Box,” clocked in a season best performance of 83.53. The band swept the award categories for High Music, High Visual, and High General Effect for a second straight time.
The Marching Foxes now set their sights on the PIMBA Championships, which will be held this year at Gateway High School in Monroeville. This year’s competition will feature 24 marching bands, and will include a performance by the Slippery Rock University Marching Band.

The Fox Chapel Area High School Marching Band recently won first place at a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association (PIMBA) competition held at Woodland Hills High School. The band won first place in the Class A category at the competition held October 4, 2008, at the Wolvarena. The Marching Foxes, performing its 2008 program, "Outside the Box," also swept the awards for High Music, High Visual, and High General Effect. This is the third first place win in a row for the Marching Foxes at a PIMBA competition.

The Fox Chapel Area High School Marching Band is under the direction of high school music teacher Daryl Lesnik, assisted by Michael Rethage. The drum major is senior Patrick Ross and the assistant drum major is senior Emily Danchik.

The Marching Foxes will participate in another PIMBA competition October
18 at East Allegheny High School.


 

 

Marching Foxes capture second straight win at Norwin competition

north huntingdon, PA The Fox Chapel Area Marching Band scored their second straight win this past Saturday, taking the top spot in the Class A category at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association (PIMBA) competition held at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon.  The Marching Foxes, performing their 2008 show, “Outside the Box,” scored 77.00, edging out their closest competitor, Beaver.  The band also received awards for High General Effect.  Five bands competed in the Class A Category, and 15 overall.

Marching Foxes top of class at Kiski competition

vandergrift, PA The Fox Chapel Area Marching Band returned to winning form this past Saturday by taking the top spot in the Class A category at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Marching Band Association (PIMBA) competition held at Davis Field in Vandergrift, PA, in the Kiski Area School District.  The Marching Foxes score for this year’s show, titled “Outside The Box,” was 77.23, winning their division and fifth highest overall.  The band also received awards for High Music, High Visual, and High General Effect. 

Up next for the Marching Foxes, is another PIMBA Competition, Saturday, September 13, At Norwin High School in North Huntingdon.
